The overall purpose of the report is to provide AHCA with an additional tool for evaluating and monitoring the provision of services through managed care or for providing health plan oversight. Information is provided in detailed tables in the Appendix containing rates for each service type by year for each plan. Within each section describing analyses for each service or diagnostic group, results are presented in charts showing penetration rates by category and total for each plan as well as comparison of means by plan type, i.e., HMO and PMHP. Significantly different profiles are highlighted. Tables show penetration rates for each service component and results of logistic regression analyses indicating the degree and significance of differences accounted for by the factors described (demographics, plans & plan types, and membership in other analytic groups, etc.). Other tables show the impact of these factors on the outcome variables.
